Bacon's New Pocket Map of Essex
Now back to the same map dimensions as used in The Weekly Despatch in 1860, in The Despatch Atlas in 1863 and in Cassell's British Atlas, this is also the same size as used in Bacon's New Quarto Atlas and Bacon's Map of [county] - the latter two from c.1876.

Scale correct at 10 miles = 63mm, or 4.0 miles/inch, ie 1:255,000.
The railway lines include Walthamstow to Chingford (opened 1873) and Liverpool Street station (opened 1875).
