A Direction for the English Traveller
Essentially a re-issue of the Simmons 1636 book, but with maps that are copies of the data on Speed maps.
The old maps (and plate number) are erased and replaced by ones about twice the size and with far more detail - which proceeds to overflow the triangular distance table, making both the distances and map entries almost indecipherable.
Displayed scale of 10 miles = 11.2mm, or 22.7 miles/inch; scale actual = 26.4 miles/inch, or 1:1,675,000.
Further re-prints were issued under the names of A booke of the Names of all the Hundreds, then in A Book of the Names of all the Parishes.
