GnI 1900

The Half Inch Map of England for Cyclists, Tourists etc.

The plate number 27 is still shown in the top right corner, and everything else around the map, but now it is the roads prominent in orange/brown, and railways reduced to uncoloured double lines (the lines always were there, but were coloured in previously).

The map is now published by Gall & Inglis, Edinburgh & London, 25 Paternoster Square.

Displayed scale of 20 miles = 255mm, or 2.0 miles/inch, ie 1:126,720.

On the railways the line from Forest Gate to Tottenham is present (opened 1894), but not the Chigwell loop line (opened 1903), and hence the estimated date. It is a lot harder to see the lines as they are uncoloured, unlike before; the county boundaries are also uncoloured.
