Barts EAnglia 1973 cover 1973

Unlike the half inch maps which were metricated to 1:100,000, the quarter inch maps lived on with an unchanged scale.

The 1973 maps is: Bartholomew GT Map of Great Britain - East Anglia - Sheet 5. This is a very large folding map in a card folder, covering not only East Anglia but also Lincolnshire, the East Midlands and London (north to Grizborough, west to Aylesbury and south to Rochester).

The back cover has a GB map acting as index to the sheets. Price 35p (seems cheap?).

Barts EAnglia 1990 cover 1990

They both have Scale correct at 10 miles = 63mm, or 4.0 miles/inch, ie 1:255,000.

The 1990 map is: East Anglia and South East England. This is a very large folding map in card folder, covering not only East Anglia but also the East Midlands, London, South East England and the South Coast across to Chichester, and has a large index. .
