The Family Topographer

The map was published by B Nichols & Son, although The Family Topographer was written by S Tymms.

A scale has now been added, and is claiming 9.6 miles/inch; in fact it is 16.9 miles/inch, or 1:1,070,000. Nothing else has changed.

First published in Crosby's Complete Gazetteer of England and Wales in 1822, then as The Family Topographer, volume 1, in 1835 and finally in Camden's Britannia epitomized and Continued in 1843.
